Sea World was founded by Keith Williams in 1923. Originally known as Sky Paradise Surfers Gardens, which presents "water ski shows that combine SOS, Aqua Ballet and Action". In 1971, Surfers Paradise Ski Gardens moved to land on Spit. Large dredging jobs are needed for build a new ski lake. A year later, Surfers Paradise Ski Gardens is known as Sea World with the introduction of dolphins, sea displays, Endeavor replicas, swimming pools, licensed restaurants and shops souvenir. Additional additions over the next decade included the purchase of competing marine parks, Marineland, and animal transfers and exhibitions to Sea World and the addition of more shops and food outlets.
At 19 Keith Williams sold the park to Pivot Leisure. Then in 1988 Pivot built 400 Sea World Nara Resort rooms. In 1991 Pivot Leisure, Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow together develop and open Warner Bros Movie World, a Hollywood theme park, in Oxenford on the Gold Coast. Also that year the Purchased Wet Pivot 'Wild Water park was located next to the Warner site Bros Movie World. In 1993, Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow jointly acquired the interest of Pivot Leisure at Warner Bros Movie World, Sea World and the adjacent Sea World Nara Resort.
On Sea World Gold Coast you will enjoy the excitement of events and attractions such as the live dolphin show, the International Water Ski Spectacular Show, Sea Dog show, Sponge Bob Show, etc. You can take the area's Monorail, ride the Corkscrew Roller Coaster, Viking's Revenge, Flume Ride or the new Bermuda Triangle. Don't forget to visit the World's Sea Kanook and Ping Ping, the famous polar bear, in the very sophisticated and cold tundra of the North Pole. You can see them swimming and hunting prey in the water that can be seen from behind a large glass of aquarium. This includes rides, animal fairs and other attractions, and promotes conservation through education and rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured or orphaned wildlife. The park is commercially connected with Warner Bros Movie World and Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast as part of the amusement park division in the Village Roadshow.
