The ageless living forest of the giant Karri trees where you walk across the tree tops and the Ancient Empire walk amongst gnarled old twisted Tingle Trees in a gloomy forest glade, are just part of an exploring experience of this lower south west of Western Australia. Travel through spectacular south-west forest and lush farmland to reach the impressive Valley of the Giants and walk through the canopy of towering old growth forest. Travelling south through Donnybrook’s famous apple and stone fruit orchards for morning tea, we continue passing the rolling farmlands of the Blackwood River Valley, then on through Western Australia’s old growth forest to see the 51m tall Diamond Tree bush fire watch tower. Climb it if you dare, or simply enjoy lunch in a tranquil bush setting.
Next it’s the Valley of the Giants ‘Tree Top Walk’, a 600 metre long elevated walkway through the forest canopy reaching up to 40 metres above ground. Next see the Ancient Empire of wide girthed Tingle Trees up to 10 metres in diameter.
